  • Dock of the bay: San Francisco’s Ferry Building

    More than anything else, the waterfront is San Francisco’s claim to historical fame. One hundred years ago the only way to reach the city was to cross the bay by boat and disembark at the Ferry Building, a bustling terminal that was gateway to the metropolis. At the turn of the 20th Century, more than 100,000 people a day made their way through the long, two story building and onto the streets of San Francisco.

    After almost 28 years doing the work she set out to do, Snyder is taking on more challenges in her chosen profession by assuming the job of top nurse at the newly enlarged medical center. She came to Mercy San Juan in December, 2009, just as it opened it’s new tower.
